Where is Cloud 9 Car Hire based?
We are based near the Giant's Causeway on the North Coast.
Do you take bookings from all over Ireland?
We are based on the North Coast, our standard prices relate to wedding car hire within a 50 mile radius. However we are happy to undertake bookings all over N.Ireland and Donegal. All that we ask is that if you require us to travel outside of our radius range that you understand the price will reflect the requirements of the booking.
What vehicles do you have?
Presently we have one show winning Volkswagen Beetle Convertible and one vintage VW Camper Van. Please visit the Our Cars section for a comprehensive description of our vehicles.
Chauffeured or self drive?
All vehicles are chauffeur driven. We take away the stress, allowing you to enjoy every moment of your day.
Do you just take bookings for weddings?
Weddings and civil ceremonies are our specialty, however our cars are available for any other occasion or event such as a prom, Christening or engagement party, please CONTACT US for more information.
How much will my booking cost?
All of our bookings are priced individually to accommodate our customers special requirements that are unique to them, therefore price is on application. For quote please CONTACT US or call on 07818447482.
Will I have to pay a deposit?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit of £100, full balance must be paid 30 days before the morning travel commences. Bookings are not confirmed until a deposit is received but will be held for a period of 7 days as a gesture of goodwill.
How can I pay?
At Cloud 9 Car Hire we accept bank transfer, personal cheques, PayPal or cash for deposit.
Is the service you offer graded by price?
Our service is the same excellent service afford to all our clients.
How do I make a booking?
Please BOOK ONLINE and check availability. We will get back to you within 24 hours to enclose a quote and inform you of our availability for your big day. Once we have confirmed our availability we will request a £100 deposit to confirm your booking.
Can we come to see the vehicles?
We are always happy to receive visitors or we can bring the car to you. Appointments to view our cars can be made during the week and on most weekends. You will be made to feel very welcome. Please note viewing is strictly by prior arrangement.
Will you confirm my booking?
We will confirm your booking within 24 hours. You will receive an email on completion of our ONLINE BOOKING FORM and once deposit is received you will receive another confirmation email confirming the reservation. We keep in full contact throughout and welcome correspondence and calls from our customers too.
Can we have more than one trip if we book the one car?
Both vehicles are hired for the day, so we can do as many trips for the bridal party as required.
What do your drivers wear?
Our Chauffeurs are always smartly dressed in shirt and tie.
DECORATING THE CAR/CAMPER
Do I have to have a white ribbon on the vehicles?
You can choose any colour ribbon for the car & camper especially if you have a particular colour scheme in mind for your day and you would like to follow this through with the vehicles. The choice is yours! We also dress the interior of the camper with white lilly + rose and ivy garland.
Will there be time to have photographs taken?
Photographic opportunities are extremely important at your wedding, therefore we are highly flexible and give maximum time prior to the wedding ceremony and after the ceremony for photographs to be taken. Our chauffeurs always do their utmost to work with your chosen photographer, manoeuvring the cars to get the perfect shot, something they are well practiced in. So remember to smile!
Are the car/camper available exclusively to the Bride and Groom?
Our vehicles are ideal for other members of the bridal party, to include the Mother and Father of the Bride or Groom and of course bridesmaids and best man.
Will I get my dress in the Beetle?
This is probably the most frequently asked question by our Brides to be and the answer is a resounding yes! Our convertible has a split front passenger seat. This type of seat rolls completely forward allowing our Brides and other bridal party members to simply step gracefully in and out of the cars with the minimum of effort. All of our cars have more than ample space for any type or style of wedding dress.
Will our car be clean after it's long journey?
We travel all over the country with our cars and of course on our far flung adventures the cars do pick up their share of muck along the way. We always allow plenty of cleaning time before any event so that our cars arrive looking at their very best time after time.
What if our car/camper breaks down on the day?
Our cars are regularly serviced and checked to ensure that this eventuality doesn't become reality. However this is not to say that we are not realists and that a breakdown couldn't happen especially as all of our cars are getting on a bit! Therefore for peace of mind we have the following plans in place: 1. All of our drivers are AA covered, 2. All of our drivers have some VW Beetle & VW Camper van mechanical knowledge to enable them to make an educated diagnostic decision, 3. The cars carry basic spares. Failing this we would always stipulate that you must have an alternative in place if we cannot get a replacement vehicle to you in time.
Do you allow children to travel in the vehicles?
We do, however due to the seat belt laws and our duty of care we advise that children under the age of 3 do NOT travel in any of our vehicles. We do NOT allow children of any age in the front. Children over the age of 3 are permitted to sit in the back without seat belts. If you are unsure ask us.
Does the car/camper have good luggage space?
There is ample luggage space in Edgar our camper, please check with us first if there is anything in particular that you need carried.
Do you supply Champagne/Sparkling Wine?
We understand that a drop of bubbly is essential for all newly weds! We serve from a vintage style cool box with fluted glasses for that perfect picture opportunity.
What if we book a Convertible and it rains?
Our convertible has a canopy which can be raised should there be a shower of rain. We can also carry umbrellas in all of our cars on request, which our drivers will use to escort passengers to the venue entrance.
What would happen in extreme weather conditions?
In the event of extreme weather conditions and absolute impossible driving conditions disabling the operation of any of the Cloud 9 cars, a full refund will be offered. It may be advisable to ensure you have wedding insurance for any eventuality.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
What if we need to make a cancellation?
We appreciate that sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances customers do need to cancel bookings. As set out in our terms and conditions we do not refund deposits.
